About the Instructor / Author

David Jamison, Tarpon Dreams™

David Jamison is the Owner and Founder of Tarpon Dreams™, an Atlantic & Caribbean tarpon fishing, travel and lifestyle network built around firsthand fishing experience, destination fieldwork and trusted local relationships.

David has been chasing tarpon since 1983, with decades of experience across Florida and the Caribbean. His approach combines real-world fishing knowledge, trip planning, destination research and a lifelong curiosity about the places, people and fisheries that make each adventure unique.

David appeared in the TV Show, "The Tarpon of Boca" in 2006-2007. Fishing with Capt. James Goodwin for the filming of the show that is now hosted on Prime Video, MOTV and OutdoorTV.

David Jamison is also the Author of the "Tarpon Dreams™: The Juvenile Tarpon Playbook" Life Stages, Nursery Habitats, Movement, Fishing Tactics, Travel & Conservation Across the Atlantic and Caribbean.

David is a Member of the "100/100 Tarpon Club". But now focuses his Fishing Efforts on Juvenile Tarpon. Way More Fun, Less Taxing on the Back and Arms. 😅

Through Tarpon Dreams™, David shares firsthand field notes, destination insights, trusted fishing and lodging resources, practical trip-planning information and stories from the water, all built around one simple goal: helping anglers find better tarpon fisheries, plan better trips and enjoy the complete experience beyond the boat.
